Where can you get married on Royal Caribbean?
Royal Caribbean offers private ceremony venues onboard, with the specific space based on the ship, guest count, package, and availability. The current Royal Weddings brochure highlights settings ranging from Central Park to interior venues designed for private events.
Wedding at Sea
Legal ceremonies at sea may be performed by the Captain or Staff Captain once the ship is in international waters. Symbolic ceremonies are performed by a non-denominational officiant.
Embarkation-Day Wedding
Love Sets Sail is designed for a wedding during boarding day and includes priority check-in for the wedding group. The couple is responsible for the required local license and officiant for a legal marriage.
Perfect Day at CocoCay
Royal Caribbean also offers weddings at Perfect Day at CocoCay. The current brochure lists a $1,000 surcharge for weddings at the private destination.
Shoreside Wedding Celebrations
If your ceremony or celebration takes place off the ship, I can coordinate the travel surrounding it, including sailing selection, guest transportation, pre-cruise accommodations, and the movement of the group between the ship and shoreside plans.

Why use a travel advisor instead of booking directly?
Royal Weddings has a dedicated team for the ceremony itself. Their Sales Coordinator helps select the package and confirm the ship and date, the Wedding Specialist works through the event details, and the onboard Wedding Coordinator executes the contracted wedding. My role is different: I manage the travel experience surrounding the wedding and become the point of contact for your guest group.

Pre-Cruise Hotel & Arrivals
I coordinate hotel accommodations, arrival plans, and pre-cruise gatherings in the embarkation city.
Airport & Port Transportation
I coordinate the movement between airport, hotel, cruise terminal, and other planned wedding-related locations.
Shoreside Wedding Travel
For off-ship ceremonies, I coordinate the cruise and transportation around the event while your venue or wedding planner manages the ceremony itself.
Guest Travel Support
Your guests have a dedicated contact for cruise and travel questions instead of sending every cabin, arrival, and deadline question back to you.
Group Experiences
I can coordinate private shore excursions, welcome gatherings, and other travel experiences around the celebration.

Vow renewals & proposals at sea
Still the One Vow Renewal
$1,499 for the couple. The current package includes a private one-hour ceremony venue, officiant, venue décor, pre-recorded ceremony music, champagne, strawberries, specialty dining, celebration cake, and a keepsake certificate. Up to ten guests may attend, with additional guests available for a fee.
Say Yes Proposal Package
$1,499 for the couple. The current package includes a private or semi-private venue, a one-hour engagement photo session with ten digital images, dinner, champagne, proposal cake, strawberries, and a floral bouquet in U.S. ports. Up to ten guests may attend.
Royal Caribbean wedding FAQs
Yes. The current Royal Weddings brochure states that the Captain can perform the ceremony once the ship is in international waters. Legal ceremonies at sea are performed by the Captain or Staff Captain.
Royal Caribbean requires weddings at sea to be booked at least 90 days before sailing and recommends reserving as far in advance as possible.
Not always. Wedding timing is subject to venue availability, licensing requirements, and officiant availability. Royal Weddings will work with your preferred date and time when possible.
The limit depends on the package and venue. The current primary packages accommodate up to 20 guests with Forever Yours, up to 75 with The Knot at Sea, and up to 100 with Love Sets Sail. Additional guests may be available for a fee and remain subject to venue capacity.
For Bahamian maritime marriage licenses, Royal Weddings assists with the application process. The brochure notes that processing requires at least 90 days and that application and licensing fees apply. For licenses outside the Bahamas, the couple is responsible for obtaining the appropriate license and officiant.
Royal Caribbean's current brochure states that third-party vendors are not allowed to operate onboard. Your outside wedding planner can still collaborate with me on the larger travel plan, while Royal Weddings manages the contracted onboard event.
